Farid Hadechini

From February 15 to March 15, 2023, we invite you to join us at our homes in Tulum and Bacalar for a series of activities led by Farid Hadechini, a Colombian illustrator, artist and founder of Mar Negro. Best known for his talents as a single-needle tattoo artist, he designs illustrations that ornate the body with minimal gestures.

About the Residency

Farid’s work is inspired by his love of botany, engravings and scientific illustrations, reflecting his reverence for the natural world while creating from a space of purpose and intention. During his time at Habitas, he will share his knowledge and skills through art workshops and private tattoo sessions.
