Weather
Over the course of the year, the temperature in Bacalar varies from 17°C to 33°C and is rarely below 12°C or above 35°C. There are three seasons to keep in mind when planning a visit to our home in Bacalar: hot, cool and rainy.
Hot Season
The hot season occurs between the months of April and June, with an average daily high temperature at or above 32°C. May is considered Bacalar’s hottest month of the year, with an average high of 33°C and a low of 21°C.
Cool Season
The cooler season occurs between the months of November and February, with an average daily high temperature of 29°C. January is considered Bacalar’s coolest month of the year, with an average low of 17°C and a high of 28°C.
Rainy Season
From June to November, the region experiences the majority of its rainfall for the year, bringing vibrant colors and renewed life to the surrounding ecosystem. Often short-lived, the rain is usually heavy and sporadic. In Bacalar, these rain showers share a special peace unique to the season, inviting us to slow down, adapt and embrace nature in all of its forms.
